The GIS of the National Agricultural Informative System

DbMAP ASJ with Oracle Spatial is the GIS platform utilized in Agrisian S.c.p.a. to organize and manage the territorial cartographic data useful to supervise the contributions allocations to the agriculture in Italy. Hundreds of vectorial data Gb and thousands of raster images are managed by Oracle Spatial and are made available and modifiable via http with DbMAP ASJ. A few thousands of work stations are interacting via internet with the territorial databank and ,among these, a few hundreds simultaneously gain the access to the central system, to bring also modifications due to the land control and photo interpretation.

Lombardy region utilizes DbMAP for its agricultural GIS (Land Information System)

The Lombardy OPR, the regional structure that subsidizes the agriculture, has implemented in its information system the GIS funcionalities useful to bring up to date the agricultural land use and usability, for what concerning the sowable ground, the vineyards cadastre and the specialized arboreal cultivation as well.

Lots of Finsiel Group programmers are using DbMAP

Lots of software developers and designers in Finsiel Territory and Environment have been using ABACO GIS technologies for years. They are using it in various applications that form the SIAN, in specific meteorological applications and in others to update the census sections. ABACO GIS technology is at bottom of the SIM. ASI S.p.A. realized for the town of Mantova some efficient services online used by the professionals to require and obtain the town planning destination certificates print (CDU online) that shows the territory portion of interest and to execute via internet the technical and administrative procedure necessary to obtain the authorization for the public soil temporary occupation.

The new project WebGIS of the province of Padova

It has been presented the new pilot project WebSIT of the province of Padova, based on the DbMAP GIS components. WebSIT is able to publish on a single internet portal the cartographies and territorial data distributed on more interconnected web servers managed from different authorities with specific territorial competences

An advanced WebGIS for the province of Rome

The SIT office of the province of Rome started the testing of the new WebGIS application realized by Planetek srl with DbMAP ASJ technology. This is an evolved application that allows the interaction from internet with the province territorial database with: synchronized, simultaneous and side by side views of different cartographies or thematizations of the same land portion; graphical and alphanumeric online editing reserved to the qualified peripheral users; researches and thematizations produced online by the software following the logical principles formulated by the operator. This is definitively an advanced GIS completely available on the web.

The role of GIS in radio frequency analysis

The TAP program (Terrain Analysis Package), developed by SoftWright, studies radio coverage: it offers a complete analysis of the propagation of a signal, from the transmitter to the receiving zone. A radio signal is greatly influenced by the geographic configuration of the broadcast area: for this reason, the main module of the TAP program is a GIS, which contains, along with topographic data, other elements that influence radio transmissions, such as climate, soil composition, and urbanization.
