The union among the Abaco technology , the Consorzio FORMA scientific competence ( at Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa) and the Società Sistemi Informativi Srl - gruppo LIBeROLOGICO- heritage cultural manage, has created a sophisticated tool to safeguard the cultural and historic heritage in Italy. The software called "Leaning Tower GIS" has been produced by CRIBECU(Centre of cultural heritage computer research) and it is directed towards Pisa Tower conservation.

DbCAD dev, the sophisticated raster, vector and database technology, completely developed by Abaco sector research, has been used by Consorzio FORMA and Società Sistemi Informativi to build "Leaning Tower GIS" system, that allow to monitor the state of conservation of the monument, and to create a useful tool to monitor the restoration plan. The aim is to suggest and divulgate, for the first time, an information system that unify and integrate the spatial information (vector images) with photographic information (raster)
