ABACO is taking part to the 26th
International Symposium of Urban Data Management scheduled
from October 10 to 12 2007, at the University
of Applied Sciences in STUTTGART,
Germany.
The conference promotes the development of geographic information systems
in local government and exploits solutions for Spatial Data
Infrastructures. The meeting will address the following overall themes:
- geo-collaboration in urban and regional environments;
- urban and regional computing;
- GIS in urban and regional data management for Sustainable Development.
And in addition the following issues:
- evolution of urban data management to the enterprise level;
- GIS role in enterprise urban data management infrastructure;
- urban data management as a platform for integrating technologies;
- policies, systems, and data management for emergency response;
- risk prevention and spatial planning for sustainable development;
- data harmonisation and standardisation;
- 3D as an integral part of urban data management;
- the proliferation of remote sensing applications in urban data management;
- systems for measuring changes in the state of urban and regional environments;
- location technologies in urban data management;
- co-operation among local authorities in urban data management;
- public participation systems.
ABACO continues to search and develop geospatial tools to provide the geospatial
community with leading edge solutions, allowing to use the new INSPIRE's specifications.
